00:14 If you could take one thing in the Bible, one memory from the Bible and say, man, that one changes my life. Uh, what would you, what would it be for you? This is the one it would be for me. It's John Chapter 13 verses three through five. This is awesome. It says this, "Jesus knew that the father had put all things under his power and that he had come from God and was going back to God." So what did you do? It says, "He got up from the meal. Check this out. He took off his outer clothing. He wrapped a towel around his waist, like a servant. After that he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples feet and began to dry their feet with a towel that was wrapped around him."

01:07 This is an amazing time. So what about today? The dishes get dirty, you know, three times a day. Who's going to wash them? The front porch is filled with leaves every time the wind blows. Who's going to sweep it? The dog wets the rug. The baby needs a bottle. The lights are on in the back room, you know, uh, you know, mom or, or dad had a hard day at the office. Uh, you know, your mom's back is killing her. You know, your buddy Larry just got cut from the basketball team, you know, Angie to miss cheerleader by one vote. Um, you know, your buddy at the, at the, at the job just got cut and the man's family is starving. Boy opportunities for foot washing all around the house, aren't they? A golden wonderful opportunities to demonstrate the God who lives in your heart are available everywhere.

01:59 Read that verse again. Jesus knowing that God had given him all things, Jesus, knowing that he was sent from God was going back to God, uh, he became the lowest servant. Wow! Man, how easy it is to, you know, the let a parent serve or to let your spouse serve or make the youngest kids serve or to kind of hold your position. You know, as the head of the house or the head of the, of the company. And, uh, and, and, and sit there in that old lazy boy chair and, and, and kind of, you know, Lord our authority over our family. Uh, but man, how exciting, how fun, how fulfilling it is to wash feet and seize the opportunities God gives you every day to express your care for those you love. I, some of my favorite men or guys who run these gigantic companies and they are the, the biggest servants in the company.

03:00 I see it all the time. I, you know, I was with a woman last night who, who's arguably, you know, one of the most, if not the most popular woman in the world, and a, but she's a foot washer. And, and I, and I admire that so much about that woman, you know, washing feet is, is, is, it's the heart of the Valentine card. Washing feet is the Christ of Christmas in the Christmas card, you know, when Dorothy said in the Wizard of Oz, "there's no place like home," She was speaking of a house full of foot washers of all ages. That's what makes a home special. Here's my questions today. Why is it hard to be a foot washer? And then secondly, man, what are some practical ways to wash feet in our home? And then the third one, what did Jesus foot washing episodes say about God's love for you and for me? Here's the lifeline. One man in your house, in your business and your school get creative. Wash someone's feet today and watch what happens in your life.
