" I was just in Chicago with a high school student, a 17 year old boy named Jacob, who's faithful. That boy had a vision for a thousand of his friends to come to this event and to come to Christ. And because of Jacob's faithfulness that little theater we were in was packed because one boy was faithful and he wanted everybody he knew to come to Christ. He's a hero to me. "

It's just unbelievable how happy it is. But the locker rooms of the losing team, especially in the playoffs are the saddest places in the world."

"When you watch a basketball game or play in a game of any sport or watch football game, who do you cheer for? Well, I always cheer for the underdog. And I don't know what it is inside of me but every time anybody plays, I'll look for the team that's not supposed to win and I just begin to cheer for that team like they're my team. And when they come back and win, it's the greatest thing in the world."

"Years ago when my kids were small, I was at home alone. Debbie Jo was on a trip and the kids were sleeping in their room and about 2:30 AM I heard a thief in my kitchen and I jumped up out of bed and saw that thief running out the front door. And I chased that thief is as hard as I could. And you know what? It's a good thing he didn't have a gun. But when a thief comes into your house, you don't care, you'll do anything to get him out of your house and fortunately for him and me, he didn't come back. "
